I’ve been blogging on and off since 2011. One thing I have always struggled with is consistency. Having no direction and trying to figure out where I fit in this hugely saturated world of social media and how I add value, being consistent was HARD! One thing I can say I was definitely consistent with is not being consistent. Not just in blogging, but also with other areas of my life: mainly my health. I have started and stopped exercise regimens and eating plans more times than not and as a result am at the same place I was after baby #1. That was 11 years ago.
As far as blogging goes, the same applies, I could be in a completely different space if I had stayed consistent over the last 9 years. Alas, here we are and I am starting again.
Did you hear me? I. AM. STARTING. AGAIN! I haven’t given up and God hasn’t taken the desire away so I going to keep pressing. This go round, I am making sure I surround myself with people who have similar goals and can help me hold myself accountable. My best friend is getting me out of the house to walk and I have joined Mattie James’ Consistency Challenge for the month of July.
The Mattie James has challenged me to blog every weekday in the month of July . EEEEKKKK!!! If that won’t work my blogging muscle I don’t know what will. And on top of that, I have committed to myself that I will walk everyday in July as well. We are building all the muscles around here y’all!
Don’t be afraid to start again. Don’t think too much time has passed. I believe in the God that redeems time and talent and can’t wait how He is going to show up and add His supernatural to my little ol’ natural.
Also, if I’m being completely honest. The first 6 months have been a blur through all the tears I have cried and I am determined to make the last 6 better than the first. What about you?!
